Conscious Decision Making
An Essential Tool for Diverse Work Environments
Based on research and work with multinationals, we help organisations understand the impact of unconscious bias in recruitment, talent selection, performance reviews, employee engagement, and to build an inclusive work environment.
Everyone carries bias; it’s an automatic reaction. Unconscious bias happens outside our control, triggered by the instinct of having to make quick judgements and assessments of people or situations, influenced by one’s background, cultural environment and personal experiences.
Our workshops, seminars and client briefings begin by acknowledging that bias is a natural part of all of us, embedded within the subconscious. Through visuals, real life examples, and group discussions, we unravel the neuroscience underpinning bias to understand the impact of bias on decision-making and building inclusion.
Building an inclusive work environment requires acknowledging hidden assumptions, mental models and patterned response. We focus on awareness, giving everyone time to think and turning conversation into actions. Awareness – and taking action to address bias is one way to build an engaged and inclusive environment, aligned with the organisational goals, values and purpose.
The aim is to create a culture of inclusiveness; our discussions raise the level of understanding, and participants leave with greater clarity on bias, motivated to take action.
We facilitate workshops and seminars to build awareness on unconscious bias, challenge assumptions to understand the impact on decision making. Our methods encourages a commitment to action, fostering a culture of inclusion and creating a sense of belonging. We focus on empathy to build an inclusive thinking environment.
